Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Hasanat: Muslim Habit Tracker is developed and published by Orivent Studios. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at oriventstudios@gmail.com.

2. Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials
• Your habit records, deed completions, or personal goals
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics events
• Crash reports or usage statistics

There is no Orivent Studios server that your app communicates with. There is no user account system of any kind.

3. Data stored on your device

All app data — your deeds, completion records, prayer time preferences, and settings — is stored locally on your device using an embedded database (ObjectBox). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the in-app Backup feature to export a file to your own local storage.

4. Location (GPS)

The app requests access to your device's GPS to calculate local prayer times. This calculation is performed entirely on-device using the Adhan library. Your coordinates are never transmitted off your device and are not stored persistently.

You may deny location permission. The app will still function fully; prayer time calculation will use a default location until you grant permission or set a location manually.

5. Third-party network requests

Hasanat makes network requests to the following third-party services. These requests are initiated by you when you use specific features:

• Al-Quran Cloud API (alquran.cloud) — used to fetch Quran verse text and audio when you open the Quran Reader screen. No personal data is sent; requests are anonymous verse lookups.
• HadithAPI.com (hadithapi.com) — used to fetch hadith text when you browse the Hadith feature. No personal data is sent; requests are anonymous chapter and hadith lookups.
• Everyayah.com CDN (everyayah.com) — used to stream Quran audio recitation per verse. Requests contain only the surah and verse number, no personal data.

We do not control these third-party services. Please review their respective privacy policies if you have concerns about the data they may log (such as standard server access logs containing your IP address).

6. Notifications

The app may send local push notifications for prayer times and deed reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on-device and do not involve any network communication or third-party notification service.

7. Backup and restore

The app includes an optional Backup feature that exports your data as a JSON file to your device's local storage. This export is initiated solely by you and is saved to a location you choose on your device. We do not have access to your backup files.

8. Children's privacy

Hasanat does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised policy at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
